Imagine offers a fortnightly group: an opportunity for the ‘Silvers’ – adults and elderly people who need support and encouragement to engage in a creative activity and their ‘Carers’ (a family member, or a friend, or a professional care giver) who wish also to be supported and nourished by the arts, knowing that the person they care for is being looked after in the next room. A breathing space for both!
The group is run by three experienced facilitators, and a fantastic team of volunteers

It is thanks to a number of private donors that we are able to offer this group in 2025.
We are also grateful for the support received in 2023 from the Stroud Rotary Club towards the setting up of the group Silvers & Carers; and the support received from The Scrooge Fund, APAT (The Association for the Promotion of Artistic Therapy), and a private donor, to run the group in 2024.
We have received invaluable support from the whole community over the last couple of years, and it is vital that this continues in order to be able to run the Silvers & Carers group in the future. Thank you!

It is…uniquely placed to serve a diverse community and support the mental health of families, partners, carers and those struggling with dementia and physical ill-health in older age. … Enabling people to discover the positives in the ageing process and rediscover inherent creative abilities.
Maria
