Talk and workshops with Sophia Montefiore
Friday 22nd January 2027, 7.30pm
Saturday 23rd January 2027, 9am-12pm and 1.30pm-5pm
Projective Geometry explorations into the hidden Forces of Growth
On Friday evening Sophia will give a slideshow presentation on the fascinating geometry of leaves with original projective geometry insights from Sophia Montefiore, geometer, artist, and Waldorf Educator 35+ years. This is an exciting opportunity to explore the leaf form with Montefiore, who will be presenting her research at the Agriculture Conference in Dornach in February 2027.
On Saturday you will be able to explore these forms for yourself – engaging with them as expressions of a
balance of forces and exploring their profound geometric relationships. The morning workshop will consider a variety of cordate leaf forms, which can be expanded upon in the afternoon.
All art materials included. All levels welcome. Bring lunch and snacks on Saturday if you are staying on for the second workshop.
Booking is required.
